The Glenmalure Lodge caters for a wide range of groups and various occasions, from Christmas Parties for Walking Groups to Field Trips for Geography Students, from 30th Birthday Parties to Active Retirement Group Outings. We are happy to listen to your needs and help facilitate them in whatever way we can.
For formal occasions that need a little privacy, we have a function room that can comfortably sit up to 40 people for lunch or dinner. In addition to this, there is the public area in the main lounge area. During Summer months, we also have a Barbeque area outside that is available for functions.
Walking Group Outings
The Glenmalure Lodge has always been a popular spot with walkers. Its close proximity to one of Irelands highest mountains means it is somewhere extra special for a walking groups Christmas Party. Early booking is essential as some weekend dates coming up to Christmas period are taken up to a year in advance! Other weekends outside this period are still busy and it is always advisable to book at least a few months in advance to avoid disappointment.
For walking groups that are new to the area, the Glenmalure Lodge can assist in organising a local walking guide to help explore the valley and perhaps take in the summit of Lugnaquilla.
Birthday Parties & Religious Occasions
Whether it is the joyous occasion of a Christening, Communion or Confirmation, the celebration of a landmark birthday, or perhaps a more sensitive time such as a funeral, the staff at the Glenmalure Lodge are happy to assist you plan the event. We will discuss your special requirements for the private function room, what type of seating arrangement would work best and help you choose an appropriate menu.
Wicklow Bus Tours & Active Retirement Outings
Tour groups that are out to explore the beautiful mountains of Wicklow are always welcome to come in and take a break from the road journey. We have outside seating from which to admire the longest glacial valley in Ireland or plenty of room inside to escape some of the colder days and get warm by the fire. The Glenmalure Lodge is a popular stop-off point for Active Retirement Groups to have tea and sandwiches.
