Food & Drink
After a long day taking in the sites or walking the rugged countryside, what better way to relax than over a perfect pint and choosing a delicious meal from our extensive menu. Our menus are based on the best home produce from our Irish farms and gardens such as locally sourced Wicklow Lamb, Venison, Beef, Poultry, Fish and Game when in season.
The Michael Dwyer Bar & Lounge
The Michael Dwyer Bar offers a warm turf fire that is guaranteed to warm the weariest of walkers. Take your time to enjoy and learn from the many old memorabilia and historic facts that drape on our walls. A full menu is on offer which is served until 9.00p.m. Daily specials include locally sourced produce. We recommend reserving a table, especially for large groups; please call 0404 46188 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
There are traditional music sessions in the bar on a regular basis but impromptu sessions are likely to break out at any time so be sure to bring your instruments and voice.
The Glenmalure Lodge offers a Private Dining Room which can be transformed for any occasion, whether it is a Christening, Communion, Confirmation or Birthday Party. The staff of the Glenmalure Lodge will be happy to assist and help to plan your lunch or evening meal. Menus are also available for Christmas Parties or any other special occasion.
It would be a pity to miss out on the warmth of a sunny day, so we serve food outside at any given opportunity. Take a seat at one of our picnic tables and a member of staff from the bar will come out to serve you.
Walkers and cyclists who use the parking facilities at the Glenmalure Lodge and recognise the importance of giving something back to rural businesses, may be interested to note that breakfast is available to non-residents each morning between 8.30 and 11.30. Why not meet up ahead of your scheduled departure time and enjoy a Full Irish Breakfast for €12.50.
If you are a Resident or a Non-Resident and you are heading out for a walk or cycle, you can get a packed lunch prepared to bring on your travels. Although it is possible to order in the morning, you are advised to give a little advance notice for a packed lunch. Kitchen staff will be busy preparing breakfasts in the morning, so there may be a delay in putting together any last-minute requests for lunch.
A Full Packed Lunch for €6.50 consists of one sandwich, a piece of fruit, a chocolate bar and a bottle of water.
